Meet Britt, Brandon + Jane
The family trio behind Awkward Games and the creators of Hella Awkward.
As siblings, we (Britt and Brandon) grew up in a big family where everything was a competition—who could make the best ramen noodles, who could rap every word to “Juicy,” or who ruled family game night. Those nights weren’t just about fun; they were about bonding, challenging each other, and sparking our imaginations.
Fast forward to quarantine, NYC, 2020, a time when connection felt more important than ever. We had an idea to find a way to make it easier for people to connect. Around the same time, Brandon’s relationship with Jane got serious, we like to joke that the company was “Facebook official” before they were. We spent late nights archiving conversation topics, curating the perfect questions, and honing every detail.
Soulection Radio kept us vibing, natural wine kept us grounded, and Palo Santo kept our energy right during one of the most challenging times in history. In the process, we learned a lot (maybe too much) about each other and ourselves.
With Jane’s eye for design, Brandon’s strategic mindset, and Britt’s passion for storytelling, we combined our strengths to craft something truly special, helping bring our flagship game to life.

Our Mission
We believe connection is everything. Our mission at Awkward Games is to spark joy and strengthen relationships by creating games that bring people closer. We design experiences that inspire conversations, bridge cultures, celebrate diversity, and encourage vulnerability—all while keeping things hella fun.
As a proudly Black and AAPI-owned company, we’re passionate about representation and creating spaces where deep, reflective conversations thrive.
Growing up, these kinds of honest, vulnerable moments weren’t common in our communities, and we’re on a mission to change that.
